Mission Statement
Calvary Community Development Corporation (CCDC) was established in November 2000 by members of Second Baptist Church of Pedricktown, N.J., who recognized the need for a local initiative to strengthen individuals and revitalize the community through focused economic and social development.
While faith-based, CCDC is not a religious organization and welcomes all participants, regardless of denomination or belief. Its philosophy is grounded in Christian principles and the understanding that spirituality is an essential part of human well-being.
CCDC’s mission is to address interconnected social challenges such as poverty, teen pregnancy, family instability, academic underachievement, substance abuse, crime, and health disparities. Through partnerships with schools, mental health agencies, community organizations, municipal governments, and social service providers, CCDC works to promote economic growth in housing, senior and childcare, and employment—fostering a renewed sense of purpose and achievement within the community.
